How to Make Midjourney Your Bitch: Deleting Images

This is the second article in my How to Make Midjourney Your Bitch series. If you’re interested, the first one was Creating Shorthand. This series is aimed at Midjourney users who aren’t comfortable navigating the Midjourney Discord channels for answers, which can be quite daunting even for veteran Discord users.

Clean up your gallery.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve made more than 20,000 images with Midjourney as of this writing. (November 15, 2022)

You probably haven’t made that many images, but you probably also feel like your profile is a bit cluttered, especially with old grids and variations you don’t want to keep because what you care about is the upscaled images you actually like. But deleting images from your profile isn’t intuitive, and since the site documentation is very outdated right now — even the CEO admits that — it’s a popular question in MJ’s Discord support channels.

Tell Midge ❌.

A few months back, some users started referring to the Midjourney bot as “Midge” because it’s close to the first syllable of Midjourney and because humans love to anthropomorphize things, even Discord bots.

You can’t currently delete images from your website profile — although I hope they do give us that ability in the future — so you have to do it in Discord.
